5 Easy Steps To

Happy & Healthy Pets

Health

For your animal companion to stay happy, we must ensure health is maintained.

Of course, it is better to prevent than to cure. We can put  together a preventative regime that stack the odds in your pet's favour.

If for some reason your pet is not well, is in pain or injured  then we have the knowhow on diagnosing and treating.

Or if it is something we cannot help with then we know somebody who can.

Our aim is to keep your companion happy and healthy.

Freedom from Pain, Injury or Disease – by prevention or rapid diagnosis and treatment.

Environment

All animals require an environment suited to their physiology. Shelter from the elements, provision for exercise and a comfortable resting area are essential for a happy and healthy pet.

Different species and different breeds will have different requirements. Our team are trained to help you determine what your animal companion needs. If we do not know then we have the resources to find out for you.

Freedom from Discomfort – by providing an appropriate environment including shelter and a comfortable resting area.

Behaviour

All animals have a need for privacy, space, adequate environment and facilities and also in many cases company.

The requirement  vary from species to species but any shortfall in the provision of these leads to a hinderance in the expression of normal behaviour and subsequent maladies.

It is of vital importance to ensure that this is dealt with early on.

Freedom to Express Normal Behaviour - by providing sufficient space, proper facilities and company of the animal’s own kind.

You are what you Eat!

Diet

As humans we try and apply “we are what we eat” to our diets and constantly endeavour to eat better.

Why should our animal companions be any different?

Whether you are thinking of offering a natural diet, home cooked or a commercially prepared we can guide you to determine what may be best for your pet.

Pets have been domesticated for hundreds of years, tens of thousands of years in the case of dogs, and hence their dietary requirements are quite different to that of their wild counterparts.

Freedom from Hunger and Thirst – by ready access to fresh water and a diet to maintain full health and vigour.

Companionship

Pets are companion animals. They provide companionship.

We believe that this should work both ways. They provide companionship and we should reciprocate by ensuring that they are kept in ideal conditions. If appropriate, pets should be kept with others of their own species that provide them with companionship. Provide suitable pairing that brings harmony and happiness.

Freedom from Fear and Distress – by ensuring conditions and treatment which avoid mental suffering.

“Owners of dogs will have noticed that, if you provide them with food and water and shelter and affection, they will think you are god. Whereas owners of cats are compelled to realise that, if you provide them with food and water and shelter and affection, they draw the conclusion that they are gods.”
- Christopher Hitchens (Author/Journalist)
